Good News! Not Enough Items mod is officially ported to latest Minecraft 1.5.5 and previous 1.6. NEI is modification inspired from Too Many Items and Recipe book. It adds every item of Minecraft database right into your inventory including recipes, you can have unlimited stacks, it sorts them categorically and saves you a lot of time. You can also enable cheat mod for features.

How to install Not Enough Items Mod:
- Download & Install Minecraft Forge.
- Now download both CodeChickenCore and Not Enough Items mod jar files.
- Press WinKey+R > Type %appdata%/.minecraft/bin folder and open Minecraft.jar using WinRAR.
- Drag and drop both ChodeChickenCore and NEI jar files in coremods folder.
- Launch Minecraft!
Note:
• NEI is not compatible with TMI mod, your Minecraft will give issues if you try to install them.
• You must have ModLoader or Minecraft Forge API to install this mod.
• Create a back-up of your World Saves just in case.

I have not enough items 1.3.2, and it WORKED great. but suddenly, it no longer works.
FML says I have NEI downloaded, but when i go on my single-player world, it won’t work! D:

It is because they are now using Minecraft Forge API to function properly.
You need to put the .jar files in /.minecraft/mods folder to install them.

My minecraft crashes everytime i open my inventory. it works fine if i dont open my inv. but once i do, it crashes. i have no other mods install other than this (except for forge)

I downloaded Forge, and it would not let me open MC, Its error stated that it wasnt compatable with 1.5/1.5.1, It wasnt updated, it said it needed to be 1.4.7. o-O I think NEI Is a wonderful mod, the thing im stuck with is forge. This says it can work with Forge, OR Modloader, which isnt working either. o-o sooooo, Any ideas of how to run this without crashing?!?!?

I installed it and everything works until i open my inventory then minecraft crashes and these are the mods i have: Pixelmon, Better Sprint,Optifine,Not enough items
